This policy explains how Empire SMP (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit this website or play on our Minecraft server.
1. Information we collect
The website works without accounts, purchases, or advertising trackers. Our web host may process basic technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs.
When you connect to the Minecraft server, we may process your Minecraft username, UUID, IP address, chat messages, commands, gameplay activity, moderation history, and server log data needed to operate and protect the community.
2. Event applications
If you apply for an Empire SMP event, we collect the Minecraft username, age, application reason, and optional Discord username you submit. Applications are delivered through a secure server-side function to a private Discord channel controlled by the server owner. The Discord username is used only to contact you about your application. Application data is not displayed publicly. If you are a minor, ask a parent or guardian before submitting personal information.
You may request deletion of an application by contacting @empire_smp on Discord.
3. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and secure the website and Minecraft server.
- Prevent cheating, abuse, spam, attacks, and rule violations.
- Investigate reports and enforce community rules.
- Diagnose problems and improve performance.
- Respond when you contact the team.
4. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information may be handled by service providers that host or protect the website or game server. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users, or defend the server from abuse.
5. Retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed. Security and moderation records may be retained longer to prevent repeat abuse or resolve disputes.
6. Cookies and analytics
This version does not intentionally set advertising cookies or use third-party analytics. If analytics, embedded media, or community widgets are added, this policy should be updated first.
7. Children
If you are below the age required to consent to online services in your country, ask a parent or guardian before providing personal information. A parent or guardian may contact us about a child’s information.
8. Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask about, correct, or delete personal information associated with you. We may need to verify the request and may retain data where permitted for safety or legal reasons.
